The design is based on a 17th-century band sampler with traditional motifs. The design is split into 12 blocks with the opportunity to explore lots of stitches and create a fabulous sampler.
The template is given in 2 formats so you can choose to stitch an 8-inch circular version or a 7 x 7.5inch rectangular version.
The Spring Sampler, Hand Embroidery Pattern details the floss and stitches I used in the example photo but feel free to make your own choices – it’s up to you!
